Ceres Ponzu Sauce (citrus, organic) - 250ml
Ponzu Sauce is a tasty tangy seasoning that combines shoyu, rice vinegar and mirin (rice cooking wine) with the highly nutritious citrus juices of the sudachi and yuzu fruits.
Used as a dressing or dipping sauce. It contains no oil and has a low calorie count.
Made from the highest quality ingredients, Ponzu contains an abundance of yuzu and sudachi citrus fruits that are cultivated with neither agricultural chemicals nor chemical fertilizers. Juiced by hand, they contain activated Vitamin C and other key health benefits.
Sudachi is a small, round, green citrus fruit with a zestier flavor and aroma than lemons or limes. It also boasts a higher calcium and ascorbic acid (vitamin C) content than lemons.
Studies indicate it may be effective in reducing levels of glucose in diabetic patients.
Yuzu is an aromatic citrus fruit and plant originating in East Asia with a spicy citrus flavour. Yuzu closely resembles Sudachi (more sour), sharing a similar mandarin-ichang papeda ancestry. Yuzu fruit looks like a small grapefruit with an uneven skin, and can be either yellow or green depending on the degree of ripeness. Green Yuzu rind is very popular sliced and grated with salad, and sashimi dishes.

Shoyu is a true soy sauce, made from long-brewed whole soybeans.
Genuine rice vinegar made from rice and Koji is added to Ponzu.
Mirin is a sweet rice seasoning made from glutinous rice.
The Koji and distilled spirits are made by a natural, traditional manufacturing process.
Finally Barley Malt is a natural low glucose sweetener.
The broth is made from the highest quality kombu and shiitake mushroom. Neither artificial additives nor chemical seasonings are included in Ponzu.
Health - Add a few drops of our Ponzu into drinks or dishes to quickly recover from the weariness of the summer heat.
Cooking: Ponzu is often used for salad dressings, tempura broth, marinade or as a dipping sauce for fish or steamed vegetables.
Ponzu Honey Glaze/Marinade - for meats, salmon, vegies.
- 1/2 cup Ponzu
- 1/4 cup Orange juice
- 3 tbsp Honey
- 2 cloves Garlic roughly chopped
- 1 tbsp Brown Rice Vinegar
- 1 tbsp Sesame oil
- 1 pinch Fresh black pepper
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and whisk until thoroughly mixed. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary with more honey or vinegar to suit.
Soak your salmon or meat in the marinade (the longer the better). Grill, bake or fry. Brush occasionally with the marinade.
Ponzu Ingredients: Soy sauce, rice vinegar, mirin, barley malt, yuzu, sudachi juice. Organically grown.
